FAQ
The best type depends on your business size, volume, and coffee preferences:
- Espresso machines are perfect for cafés and coffee shops offering specialty drinks.
- Bean-to-cup machines are ideal for offices, hotels, and self-service areas, providing fresh coffee with minimal training required.
- Drip brewers are suited for diners, restaurants, and large-volume locations, producing multiple cups at once.
Consider your staff skill level, customer demand, and menu variety when choosing the right machine.
The size depends on your daily coffee output:
- Small machines (1–2 group heads) are ideal for small cafes or offices serving under 100 cups/day.
- Medium machines (2–3 group heads) suit mid-sized restaurants or hotels, handling 100–300 cups/day.
- Large machines (3+ group heads) are for high-volume coffee shops, making 300+ cups/day.
Consider both output capacity and physical dimensions to fit your space.
- Semi-automatic machines require manual control over shot timing and steaming, ideal for baristas who want more control.
- Automatic machines handle the shot timing automatically, simplifying the brewing process.
- Super-automatic machines grind, tamp, brew, and froth milk with minimal human effort, perfect for self-service or low-skill environments.
Choose based on your staff’s skill level and desired consistency.
