Warranty

Five (5) Years Parts & Labor Warranty: BLUE AIR warrants to the original purchaser the BLUE AIR unit sold and all parts thereof to be free from defects in material or workmanship, under normal use and service for a period of five (5) years from the date of sale or thirty-nine (63) months from date of shipment by Blue Air, whichever occurs first. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing F.O.B. factory any of such products that prove to be defective and which our examination shall disclose to our satisfaction to be defective. The compressor only warranty is 7 years.

Five-Year/Seven-Year Compressor Warranty: BLUE AIR warrants its hermetically sealed compressor to be free from defects in both material and workmanship under normal, proper use and maintenance service for a period of five and seven (5/7) years from the date of original installation, but not to exceed five and seven (5/7) years and three (3) months after shipment from a Blue Air warehouse. A compressor determined by Blue Air to have been defective within this warranty period will, at Blue Air’s discretion, be either repaired or replaced with a compressor or compressor parts of similar design and capacity. The five and seven (5/7) year compressor warranty applies only to hermetically sealed parts of the compressor and does not apply to any other parts or components, including, but not limited to, cabinet, paint finish, temperature control, refrigerant, metering device, driers, motor starting equipment, fan assembly or and other electrical components.

R290/404A/134A COMPRESSOR WARRANTY: The five-year/seven-year compressor warranty detailed above will be voided if the following procedure is not carefully adhered to:

1. This system contains R290, R404A and R134A refrigerant and polyol ester lubricant. The polyol ester lubricant has rapid moisture absorbing qualities. If long exposure to ambient conditions occurs, the lubricant must be removed and replaced with new lubricant. Failure to comply with recommended lubricant specification will void the compressor warranty.

2. Drier replacement is very important and must be changed when a system is opened for servicing. A drier using XH-9 desiccant or an exact replacement solid core drier must be used. The new drier must also be the same capacity as the drier being replaced.

3. Micron level vacuums must be achieved to insure low moisture levels in the system. 500 microns or lower must be obtained.

4. All Compressor replacements must be obtained through BLUE AIR’s warranty department unless BLUE AIR waives this requirement in writing and at its sole discretion. Failure to comply with this requirement will void the compressor warranty.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY: BLUE AIR's sole obligation under this warranty is limited to either repair or replacement of parts, subject to the additional limitations below. This warranty neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume obligations other than those expressly covered by this warranty.

WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERABLE. This warranty is not assignable and applies only in favor of the original purchaser, owner or lessee of the unit. Warranty does not transfer with change of ownership or lessee. ANY SUCH ASSIGNMENT OR TRANSFER SHALL VOID THE WARRANTIES HEREIN AND SHALL VOID ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

IMPROPER USAGE. BLUE AIR ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR PARTS OR LABOR COVERAGE FOR COMPONENT FAILURE OR OTHER DAMAGES RESULTING FROM IMPROPER USAGE OR INSTALLATION OR FAILURE TO CLEAN CONDENSER COIL AND/OR MAINTAIN PRODUCT AS SET FORTH IN THE WARRANTY PACKET PROVIDED WITH THE UNIT.

ALTERATION, NEGLECT, ABUSE, MISUSE, ACCIDENT, DAMAGE DURING TRANSIT OR INSTALLATION, FIRE, FLOOD, ACTS OF GOD. BLUE AIR is not responsible for the repair or replacement of any parts that BLUE AIR determines have been subjected after the date of manufacture to alteration, neglect, abuse, misuse, accident, damage during transit or installation, fire, flood, or act of God.

  • Reach-in refrigerators are upright, self-contained units meant for quick access and are commonly placed in kitchens or prep areas.
  • Walk-in refrigerators provide bulk storage for larger operations but require separate cooling systems and more space.

If you need frequent access and quick retrieval, a reach-in is ideal. For long-term storage of bulk ingredients, a walk-in is the better choice.

Look for features that enhance efficiency, durability, and ease of use:

  1. Digital temperature controls for precise cooling
  2. Heavy-duty, adjustable shelves for flexible storage
  3. Self-closing doors to maintain temperature stability
  4. LED lighting for better visibility and energy efficiency
  5. Casters for mobility to make cleaning easier

Choosing the right features can reduce maintenance, save energy, and improve workflow.

Top-Mount Compressors - Best For:

  1. Hot environments (like kitchens with ovens, fryers, grills)
  2. Greasy or dusty areas (they’re less exposed to floor-level grime)
  3. Back-of-house use with frequent door openings
  4. Long-term durability in commercial kitchens

Why? The compressor is placed at the top of the unit, where it stays cleaner and isn’t pulling in hot, greasy air from the floor. Since heat rises, this design also helps reduce heat being pushed into the cabinet when the door opens. It's more reliable in harsh environments.

Bottom-Mount Compressors - Best For:

  1. Cooler environments (like bakeries or delis)
  2. Front-of-house or customer-facing use
  3. Loading heavier items (since the storage area starts higher up)
  4. Easier access for cleaning and servicing

Why? Bottom-mount compressors pull in cooler air from floor level, making them a bit more efficient in cooler spaces. They also tend to be more ergonomic — your food is stored higher, so less bending for staff.
